HOW TO DO PEDICURE AT HOME:

You do not have to spend a lot of money on costly beauty products or on beauty parlors. You can do pedicure at home.

Here you can find how to do manicure at home like professional in minutes.

Required things:

Be sure to have the following tools and products ready to go.

  • Nail-polish remover and cotton pads.
  • Nail clipper
  • Cuticle remover
  • Moisturizer or foot cream
  • tub or basin
  • pumice stone or foot file
  • Base coat.
  • Nail polish.
  • Clear topcoat.

Remove any previously applied nail polish:

Start by removing your old, chipped nail polish with polish remover and pads or cotton balls.  You can choose an acetone-free polish remover if you have a light shade or an acetone remover for darker shades. An acetone based nail polish remover is a bit harsher than non acetone removers, but the acetone removers get the job done faster. Non-acetone products require a little more elbow grease, but they're less damaging to your nails and leave your cuticles feeling less dry and stiff.

Shape your nails:

Clip your nails straight across to the length you prefer then file nails in one direction. A slightly rounded nail shape or square-rounded edge is generally the best way to go. If your nails are a lot longer than trim them with nail clippers before you start shaping them.

Soak your feet:

Fill a tub or basin with warm water and add Epsom salt or any essential salts of your choice. Sit back and Soak your legs for 10 minutes. Hot water will soften tough calluses and remove the dirt. It will also help to soften your nails and cuticles.

Take care of cuticles:

Apply cuticle remover to cuticles to cut away the thickened skin around the nail. Very gently push back your cuticles from the nail with a cuticle pushing tool. Be careful to remove the skin only on top of the nails and don’t touch the toe flesh.

Scrub your feet:

Use your pumice stone or foot file to scrub down the calluses on the heel and ball of your foot slough way the dead skin. Scrub the balls, bottoms and sides of your heels and around the toes.

You can find basic foot file or pumice stone from any drug store.

Moisturize:

Wash your feet once finished scrubbing and dry them thoroughly. Apply moisturizer or foot cream and massage the feet and calves.

Polish your nails:

Apply a thin base coat to all 10 fingers. A base coat protects your nails from the polish and protects nails from staining and prevents chipping. Apply your color polish in layers, allowing each layer to dry before proceeding to the next. Apply two coats of color polish, followed by a top coat to add shine. Clean up any errors with a polish remover.
